Feel More Like Yourself With Personalized Hormone Care

Hormonal changes can affect far more than your cycle. Shifts in estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and other hormones may influence energy, sleep, mood, body composition, sexual wellness, and how you feel from one day to the next. For many women, these changes become especially noticeable during perimenopause and menopause, while conditions such as PCOS can create hormone-related concerns much earlier in life.

At New You Aesthetics & Wellness, women’s hormone health is approached with the understanding that symptoms and treatment needs are highly individual. Our care includes bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), menopause care, and PCOS care, with treatment plans guided by your symptoms, health history, lab findings, and personal goals.

What Is Women’s Hormone Therapy?

Women’s hormone therapy is a personalized approach to addressing symptoms associated with changing or imbalanced hormone levels. Depending on your needs, treatment may involve replacing or optimizing specific hormones, addressing symptoms related to menopause or perimenopause, or developing a broader strategy for hormone-related concerns.
BHRT uses hormones that are chemically identical to hormones produced by the human body. However, hormone care involves more than simply prescribing hormones. A thorough evaluation helps determine what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether hormone therapy is appropriate before a treatment plan is developed.

Menopause, Perimenopause, and PCOS Care

Women can experience hormone-related concerns at many stages of adulthood, and the underlying reason matters when deciding how to approach care. New You provides hormone care that can be tailored to women navigating perimenopause, menopause, or PCOS, rather than treating every hormonal concern as the same condition.

Perimenopause can begin years before menopause and may bring changes in menstrual cycles, sleep, mood, temperature regulation, and other aspects of daily life. Menopause marks the end of menstrual periods, while PCOS is a separate hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect menstrual regularity, androgen levels, and other aspects of health.

How Does Women’s Hormone Therapy Work?

Hormone therapy works by supplementing specific hormones when treatment is medically appropriate. The exact approach depends on which hormones are being addressed, your symptoms, lab findings, medical history, and the type of therapy selected.
New You does not rely on a predetermined hormone protocol for every woman. Your evaluation provides the foundation for deciding whether treatment is appropriate and developing a plan that reflects what is happening in your body rather than treating symptoms in isolation.

What Symptoms Can Women’s Hormone Care Address?

Hormonal changes can present differently from one woman to another. Some symptoms may be related to perimenopause or menopause, while others can overlap with thyroid concerns, nutritional deficiencies, medication effects, sleep disorders, or other health conditions, making an individualized evaluation important.
Women may seek hormone evaluation for concerns such as:
  • Hot Flashes and Night Sweats: Changes in estrogen levels during the menopausal transition can contribute to vasomotor symptoms.
  • Sleep Changes: Hormonal shifts may coincide with difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling rested.
  • Mood Changes: Some women notice increased irritability, mood fluctuations, or changes in emotional well-being during periods of hormonal transition.
  • Low Energy: Persistent fatigue may prompt a broader evaluation to identify hormonal and non-hormonal contributors.
  • Low Libido: Changes in hormones can be one of several factors affecting sexual desire.
  • Vaginal Dryness: Declining estrogen levels can contribute to vaginal dryness and other genitourinary symptoms during menopause.
  • Changes in Body Composition: Hormonal transitions may occur alongside changes in fat distribution, muscle mass, and metabolism.
  • Irregular Menstrual Cycles: Cycle changes can occur during perimenopause and are also commonly associated with PCOS.
  • Difficulty Concentrating: Some women describe changes in memory or concentration during the menopausal transition.

What Are the Benefits of Personalized Hormone Care?

Effective hormone care begins with identifying what you are experiencing and determining whether hormone treatment has an appropriate role in addressing it. The goal is not to chase a specific hormone number, but to build a thoughtful plan around your health, symptoms, and stage of life.
Potential benefits of individualized women’s hormone care include:
  • Addresses hormone-related symptoms with a personalized approach
  • Provides support through perimenopause and menopause
  • Offers individualized care for women with PCOS
  • Uses symptoms, health history, and lab findings to guide treatment
  • Allows hormone therapy to be adjusted as needs change
  • Provides ongoing medical monitoring
  • Considers sexual wellness and quality-of-life concerns
  • Creates a long-term plan rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all protocol

Who Is a Candidate for Women’s Hormone Therapy?

Women experiencing symptoms that may be associated with perimenopause, menopause, or another hormonal concern may benefit from an evaluation. Hormone therapy itself is not appropriate for every patient, and candidacy depends on your symptoms, medical history, risk factors, laboratory findings, and the specific treatment being considered.
Certain health conditions can affect whether systemic hormone therapy is appropriate, which makes an individualized medical assessment essential. Your provider will review your history and discuss potential benefits, risks, and alternatives before recommending treatment.

What to Expect From Your Hormone Health Evaluation

Your first visit is focused on understanding the full picture rather than simply matching a symptom to a prescription. Your provider will discuss what you have been experiencing, your health history, current medications, lifestyle, and goals, while relevant lab testing can provide additional information about your health.
Once your evaluation is complete, your provider can explain the findings and recommend an individualized plan. If hormone therapy is appropriate, treatment and follow-up are tailored to your needs so your response can be monitored and adjustments can be made when necessary.

Is There Downtime With Women’s Hormone Therapy?

Most forms of hormone therapy do not require traditional downtime. Your experience will depend on the treatment selected, and some methods of administration may involve temporary considerations that your provider will review with you.
Hormone therapy can also cause side effects, and risks vary depending on the hormones used, route of administration, dose, and individual health factors. Ongoing follow-up gives your provider an opportunity to evaluate how you are responding and address concerns that arise during treatment.

When Will I Notice Results From Hormone Therapy?

Hormone therapy is not an overnight treatment, and the timeline for improvement varies depending on your symptoms, treatment plan, hormone levels, and individual response. Some symptoms may begin changing sooner than others, while finding the right treatment approach can require follow-up and adjustment.
Rather than promising a fixed timeline, New You monitors how you are feeling and how your body responds over time. This allows your treatment plan to evolve based on your actual experience rather than a predetermined schedule.

How Long Does Women’s Hormone Therapy Last?

There is no universal length of time that every woman should remain on hormone therapy. Duration depends on the reason for treatment, symptom severity, benefits you experience, potential risks, personal preferences, and ongoing medical evaluation.
Your need for treatment can be reassessed over time. Continued care allows you and your provider to discuss whether your current plan remains appropriate as your health, symptoms, and priorities change.

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy vs. Conventional Hormone Therapy

The term “bioidentical” describes hormones that have the same chemical structure as hormones naturally produced by the body. Importantly, bioidentical hormones are not limited to compounded products. FDA-approved hormone therapies can also contain bioidentical estradiol or progesterone.

New You Aesthetics & Wellness offers bioidentical hormone therapy in Longview, TX in a variety of forms, such as injections, creams, pellets, and oral medications.

Injections Creams Pellets Oral Medications
Administration Injected Applied topically Placed beneath the skin Taken orally
Dosing Approach Scheduled doses Regular topical application Gradual release over time Scheduled doses
In-Office Procedure Depends on treatment plan No Yes No
Daily Application No Yes No Yes
Best For Determined individually Determined individually Determined individually Determined individually
The label alone does not determine whether a treatment is safer or more appropriate. The specific medication, formulation, route, dose, medical indication, and your individual health profile are more important when evaluating hormone therapy.

Can Women’s Hormone Therapy Be Combined With Other Care?

Hormonal health is connected to many aspects of overall wellness, so hormone therapy may be only one part of your care plan. Nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, sexual health, and management of other medical concerns can all influence how you feel during hormonal transitions.
At New You, recommendations are based on what your evaluation identifies rather than automatically pairing hormone therapy with additional services. This allows your plan to stay focused on the care that is actually relevant to your goals and health.

Everyone is always friendly. Staff is great and answer any questions i might have. Little expensive but worth it to have everything taken care of at one place. With others you have to pay for labs and get them done somewhere else and no one to talk to about my concerns. They get me supplies if i need them and it’s pretty quick. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my trt therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Hormone Therapy

What does hormone therapy do for a woman?

Hormone therapy can supplement hormones that have declined or changed and may help address certain symptoms associated with menopause and other appropriate hormone-related concerns. The effects depend on which hormones are prescribed, why treatment is being used, and the individual patient.

How long does women’s hormone therapy last?

There is no predetermined treatment length that applies to every woman. Your provider can periodically reassess your symptoms, response, health history, risks, and preferences to determine whether continuing therapy remains appropriate.

Does HRT help with belly fat?

Hormonal changes during menopause can influence body composition and fat distribution, but hormone therapy is not a weight-loss treatment and should not be prescribed solely to reduce abdominal fat. If weight or body-composition changes are a concern, your provider can evaluate them within the broader context of your health.

What are the signs that a woman may need hormone therapy?

Symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, vaginal dryness, menstrual changes, or other concerns during the menopausal transition may be reasons to discuss hormone therapy with a healthcare provider. Symptoms alone do not establish that hormone therapy is necessary, since other conditions can produce similar changes.

Can hormone therapy help during perimenopause?

Hormone therapy may be appropriate for some women experiencing bothersome symptoms during perimenopause. Treatment depends on the symptoms involved, menstrual history, medical risks, and individual needs, so an evaluation is important before deciding on therapy.

Is bioidentical hormone replacement therapy safe?

The safety of hormone therapy depends on the specific hormones, formulation, route, dose, reason for treatment, and individual medical history. “Bioidentical” does not automatically mean risk-free, so the potential benefits and risks should be reviewed with a qualified provider before treatment.
