Compounded medications are compounded in a state licensed compounding pharmacy, federally registered outsourcing facility, or a physician. Compounded medications are not brand name or considered generics and are not represented to the patient as patented medications. If right for you, and based on your individual needs, your provider may prescribe brand name or generic drug products, or compounded drug products deemed necessary and appropriate.
