Personalized Care for Your Sexual and Intimate Wellness

Changes in sexual wellness can happen at any stage of adulthood and may become more noticeable with hormonal shifts, childbirth, pelvic floor changes, menopause, or aging. Concerns such as reduced sensation, changes in orgasm, vaginal dryness, or urinary control can be difficult to discuss, but they are legitimate aspects of overall health and deserve thoughtful, individualized care.

At New You Aesthetics & Wellness, women’s sexual wellness care is designed to address your concerns without judgment or a one-size-fits-all treatment plan. Depending on your needs and evaluation, options may include the O-Shot®, shockwave therapy, and pelvic floor chair treatments as part of a personalized approach to intimate wellness.

What Is Women’s Sexual Wellness Treatment?

Women’s sexual wellness treatment encompasses non-surgical options designed to address concerns involving sexual function, sensation, tissue health, and pelvic floor function. Because these concerns can have hormonal, physical, psychological, medication-related, or other medical contributors, identifying what you are experiencing is an important first step.
New You offers several treatment approaches rather than relying on one procedure for every concern. Your provider can evaluate your symptoms and goals before determining whether the O-Shot®, shockwave therapy, pelvic floor chair, or another approach is appropriate.

What Sexual Wellness Treatments Does New You Offer for Women?

Each treatment works differently, allowing recommendations to be based on the concern being addressed rather than simply choosing the most familiar procedure.
  • O-Shot®: A regenerative procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood and administered to targeted intimate areas.
  • Women’s Shockwave Therapy: Uses acoustic wave technology applied externally to targeted tissues as a non-surgical sexual wellness treatment.
  • Pelvic Floor Chair: Uses energy to stimulate repeated contractions of the pelvic floor muscles while you remain seated and clothed.
Your provider will discuss which treatment, if any, is appropriate based on your symptoms, health history, and goals.

How Do Women’s Sexual Wellness Treatments Work?

The O-Shot®, shockwave therapy, and pelvic floor chair address intimate wellness in different ways. The O-Shot® uses your own platelet-rich plasma as part of a regenerative treatment, while shockwave therapy delivers acoustic waves to targeted tissue. Pelvic floor chair treatment focuses on stimulating the muscles that help support pelvic and urinary function.
Because these therapies work through different mechanisms, they are not interchangeable. A concern involving pelvic floor weakness may call for a different approach than changes in sensation or other aspects of sexual wellness, which is why treatment begins with an individualized consultation.

What Concerns Can Women’s Sexual Wellness Treatments Address?

Sexual wellness is influenced by several interconnected systems, and the same symptom can have more than one possible cause. Your consultation gives you an opportunity to discuss what has changed and determine whether one of New You’s available treatments may have an appropriate role.
Women may seek an evaluation for concerns such as:
  • Changes in Sexual Sensation: Reduced or altered sensation may lead some women to explore regenerative or non-surgical treatment options.
  • Difficulty With Orgasm: Changes in orgasmic function can have multiple contributing factors and warrant individualized evaluation.
  • Pelvic Floor Weakness: Pregnancy, childbirth, aging, and other factors can affect pelvic floor muscle strength and function.
  • Urinary Leakage: Pelvic floor dysfunction can contribute to certain types of urinary leakage or reduced bladder control.
  • Vaginal Dryness: Hormonal changes, particularly during perimenopause and menopause, can contribute to dryness and discomfort.
  • Changes After Childbirth: Pregnancy and delivery can affect pelvic floor function and intimate wellness.
  • Menopause-Related Changes: Declining hormone levels can affect vaginal tissue, lubrication, comfort, and sexual function.

What Are the Benefits of Women’s Sexual Wellness Care?

Intimate wellness care should focus on the concern that matters to you rather than promising one treatment can solve every sexual health issue. Having several non-surgical options available allows your provider to recommend a treatment based on your symptoms and goals.
Potential benefits of a personalized approach include:
  • Addresses intimate concerns in a private, supportive setting
  • Offers non-surgical treatment options
  • Provides treatment tailored to the underlying concern
  • Can address pelvic floor function as part of sexual wellness
  • Offers regenerative treatment with your own PRP when appropriate
  • Includes options that do not require surgery
  • Allows sexual wellness to be considered alongside hormonal health
  • Creates an individualized plan rather than a standard protocol

Who Is a Candidate for Women’s Sexual Wellness Treatment?

Women experiencing changes in sexual function, sensation, pelvic floor strength, urinary control, or intimate comfort may benefit from a sexual wellness evaluation. The appropriate treatment depends on the specific concern, its potential cause, your health history, and your goals.
Not every sexual wellness concern is best addressed with a procedure. Your provider can help determine whether the O-Shot®, shockwave therapy, pelvic floor chair, hormone-related care, or another form of evaluation makes the most sense for you.

What to Expect During Your Sexual Wellness Consultation

Your consultation begins with a private conversation about the changes you have noticed, your medical history, relevant hormonal or pelvic health factors, and what you hope to improve. This helps your provider better understand the concern before recommending a particular procedure.
If treatment is appropriate, your provider will explain why the recommended option fits your needs, how the treatment is performed, and what you can expect afterward. Because the O-Shot®, shockwave therapy, and pelvic floor chair are different procedures, preparation and treatment experience will vary depending on the option selected.

Is There Downtime After Women’s Sexual Wellness Treatment?

Downtime varies according to the treatment performed. Pelvic floor chair and shockwave treatments are non-surgical and generally involve minimal interruption to normal activities, while the O-Shot® involves injections and may have its own short-term aftercare considerations.
Temporary effects can also differ between treatments. Your provider will review the relevant preparation, potential side effects, and post-treatment instructions for the procedure recommended to you.

When Will I Notice Results?

Results develop differently for each sexual wellness treatment and each patient. The timeline can depend on the concern being addressed, treatment selected, number of sessions recommended, and your individual response.
The Face Shield collection also includes different finishes, including Classic, Matte, Glow, and Bronze, while ColoreSome treatment plans may involve a series of sessions, while others may be performed less frequently. Your provider will establish realistic expectations based on the specific procedure rather than promising a universal timeline.Science’s broader mineral cosmetics collection includes additional color products. Exact products and shades available at New You may vary, so recommendations should be based on what the practice currently carries.

How Long Do Results Last?

The duration of results varies according to the treatment and individual patient. Pelvic floor strength, tissue changes, hormonal factors, aging, and other health considerations can all influence how long improvements are maintained.
Some patients may benefit from additional or maintenance treatments over time. Your provider can recommend an appropriate follow-up plan based on your response and whether your original concerns begin to return.

O-Shot® vs. Shockwave Therapy vs. Pelvic Floor Chair

New You’s women’s sexual wellness treatments target different aspects of intimate health, so choosing between them starts with identifying the concern you want to address.
O-Shot® Shockwave Therapy Pelvic Floor Chair
Approach PRP-based regenerative procedure Acoustic wave treatment Pelvic floor muscle stimulation
Treatment Type Minimally invasive Non-invasive Non-invasive
Primary Focus Targeted intimate tissue treatment Targeted tissue treatment Pelvic floor muscle function
Injections Yes No No
Treatment Selection Based on individual evaluation Based on individual evaluation Based on individual evaluation
One option is not automatically better than another. The appropriate treatment depends on what you are experiencing and which aspect of intimate wellness needs to be addressed.

Can Sexual Wellness Treatment Be Combined With Hormone Care?

For some women, sexual wellness concerns occur alongside hormonal changes during perimenopause or menopause. Vaginal dryness, changes in libido, and other intimate symptoms can have hormonal contributors, making it important to look at the broader picture rather than treating every concern as an isolated issue.
When appropriate, sexual wellness treatment can be considered alongside women’s hormone care. New You evaluates these concerns individually, so additional care is recommended because it is relevant to your needs, not simply because treatments can be combined.

Everyone is always friendly. Staff is great and answer any questions i might have. Little expensive but worth it to have everything taken care of at one place. With others you have to pay for labs and get them done somewhere else and no one to talk to about my concerns. They get me supplies if i need them and it’s pretty quick. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my trt therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Sexual Wellness

What is the O-Shot®?

The O-Shot® is a sexual wellness procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma obtained from your own blood. The PRP is prepared and administered to targeted intimate areas as part of a regenerative treatment intended to support the tissues being treated.

How long do O-Shot® results last?

There is no single duration that applies to every patient. How long results are experienced can depend on individual response, age, hormonal changes, the concern being treated, and other health factors, so your provider can discuss expectations specific to you.

What is women’s shockwave therapy?

Women’s shockwave therapy is a non-surgical treatment that uses acoustic waves applied to targeted intimate tissue. Your provider can determine whether the treatment is appropriate based on the specific sexual wellness concern you want to address.

What does a pelvic floor chair do?

A pelvic floor chair stimulates contractions of the pelvic floor muscles while you remain seated. Strengthening these muscles may be relevant for women experiencing certain pelvic floor concerns, including some forms of urinary leakage.

Can sexual wellness treatments help with vaginal dryness?

Vaginal dryness can have several causes, including hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause. Rather than assuming a sexual wellness procedure is the right solution, New You can evaluate your symptoms and determine whether sexual wellness treatment, hormone-related care, or another approach is more appropriate.

Which women’s sexual wellness treatment is right for me?

The right treatment depends on the concern you want to address. The O-Shot®, shockwave therapy, and pelvic floor chair work differently, so your provider will consider your symptoms, health history, and goals before recommending an option.
